This prototype was made as part of my Rapid Games Prototyping module, and was created in 2 days. 

Given the theme of 'A Sport From Another World', I decided to take a fun spin on a childhood classic...

A Three Legged Race!

While organising a three legged race might be an easy enough task, what if you opened that up to other worlds. What if one of this years entries.. had no legs?

In this prototype, you and a friend play alongside each other as two slimes. Due to the sporting regulations, a new strategy had to be devised in order to make it fair for other competitors, since there are no legs in your duo.

In order to replicate the pain and trouble of working with one leg tied to your friend, this 2 player split screen game makes use of a single controller.

With one player making use of the left side of the controller, and the other playing with the right side of the controller, you must work together to get through the assault course in a unique way. 

With this being a prototype made in a very short amount of time, I can't promise the controls are the nicest, but what I can say is that trying to work alongside a friend in this manner is the same amount of fun as a three legged race. (however you choose to take that).

This project was great for helping me learn about cinemachine cameras in Unity, and involved a fair amount of inheritance based scripting, with each players being unique sub-classes of a generic parent class. Overall, I am very happy with where this prototype has reached with such a short time frame.
