A downloadable game for Windows

This project started as a simple project to explore Unity's Microphone components and simple audio processing using the Audio Source components. It has since been made compatable with Android devices, and will work with the built in microphone from any Android device.

This visualiser will also work with music, and will respond to the specific frequencies. The audio processing makes use of a blackman harris window to maximise spectral resolution so that the visualiser can better pinpoint features within the audio.

To put it in context, using this will mean that the visualiser is more likely to react only to spikes, and wont receive as much noise/leakage when processing the audio.

The video shows this Audio Visualiser being used with a royalty free piece of music that has been referenced belowWhen downloaded, the project will only process microphone input. There is currently no Microphone Selection Screen, and as such the game will attempt to connect to the first microphone listed under devices.

Keep in mind that this is a technical test of Unity's audio processing capabilities, and not a developed game, and as such there may be small bugs and limited functionality.

The game automatically attempts to detect a valid microphone on the device every 10 seconds. If it is not working, attempt to wait 10 seconds. If it still fails to run, try restarting the game.

If there are still problems with running the game, this could be due to your microphone settings on your device.
